The 2015 X Factor judging panel are backing this years, Daily Mirror ‘Walking With The Wounded’ campaign.
Kind hearted, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Simon Cowell, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw, are all helping to launch this years Christmas charity appeal.
The Walking With The Wounded campaign, helps to raise money and awareness for, ex-servicemen and women whose struggles continue long after they’ve left the battlefield.
Walking With The Wounded also helps those with physical injuries, mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder, and problems re-adjusting to civilian life.
The Walking Home For Christmas initiative aims to throw a lifeline to the heroes who fight in war zones including Iraq and Afghanistan, but end up out of work or even homeless after returning to the UK.
Here’s what the four talent show judges had to say about teaming up with the brilliant charity:
Cheryl:“I saw at first hand the work the servicemen do when I went out to Afghanistan a few years ago. I was humbled by everyone I met there”.
Simon: “This is obviously a really important campaign helping people who have faced hardship and homelessness get their lives back on track. It’s really easy for everyone to get involved. Just put on your walking boots and support the Mirror’s Walking Home For Christmas campaign.”
Rita: “So many servicemen and women need help after their time in the armed forces, and the work that Walking With The Wounded do to get them back on their feet is inspirational.
